Cyborg - Zombie - Terrorists 2020
Act 1
Deep in Iran in the Taliban cave systems, they're experimenting on the radiated corpses after America had launched a series of nukes.
Zeke (played by Keanu Reeves) who is Captain of the US ambassador's security team, suspects something is up after lack of Taliban activity.
Because of this the US believes it's safe to leave. Suddenly... whilst leaving in the dead of night, red beams target them. Thinking it's a sniper, guns are raised, only to vbe confronted by a CYBORG ZOMBIE TERRORIST!!!
Zeke only survivor, forced to take control.
Act 2
Zeke has to find where they originated from but can't do it alone. Therefore he teleports back to the USA to get a team together.
Has to convince people but no-one believes this could ever happen. Finds long-time scientist friend who has known the possibility of this for years, only one to believe Zeke.
Zeke discovers holodiscs belonging to his scientist friend so takes a watch of them. He realizes the scientist has actually been hired by the Taliban!
Retrieves location of the Taliban caves. Kills traitor scientist and starts to doubt this is reality as its so surreal.
Act 3
Zeke teleports to Taliban caves. Alone. Slightly delusional. And dehydrated.
He gets into a HUGE battle with the cyborg-zombie-terrorist army, his only weapon being a nanite gun.
Thousands lay dead around him. But he's in pain. Dragging his severed leg as it barely hangs on.
Discovers head of the Taliban cyborg zombies... Bin Laden. He was the creator. Zeke realizes the only way left is to melt everything via EMP. NO-ONE SURVIVES :(

Just a Heads-up
Unfortunately a lot of the clips i found had the embedding option disabled so I had to include the raw link instead.
Similarities between "Invasion" (original & remake) and Zombie films
In both titles the main fear is of an entity invading the human body and turning it into something surreal and frightening, this is exactly the same as in zombie films. Usually a virus will enter the human body and turn them into a flesh-hungry reanimated corpse that everyone around is scared of.
Similar to this is the body-snatchers, they are an unknown entity that become the human they infiltrate, in contrast the snatcher is a virus in the remake but a strange life-form in the original. Despite this the principal still applies, it is still a strange being taking a person over completely.
Another similarity is the drama, there is usually a friend of the main character(s) who stays behind or disappears for a while and comes back as an invaded body shortly after, much the the protagonist's horror which causes a lot of remorse and sadness on their behalf.
My final comparison is of the plot-lines that these films follow, they all start off with everything as it should be. It will then later transform into a few disappearances and strange goings-on, shortly after they protagonists stumble across evidence of the strange entity and run from it in fear. It is usually a futile battle and almost always ends up in something horrifically bad happening to the main characters.
In conclusion the "Invasion" films are very similar to zombie films and follows the same basic layout as the traditional zombie flick. The fear is the same as is the fight against it.

Implicit & Explicit fears from "Invasion" ('07 Remake)
The implicit and explicit fears in this remake are almost identical to those in the original version with two additions
The additional implicit fear was the protagonist not being able to protect her son as a snatched body. Even though she had no proof she couldn't care for him properly her maternal instinct and fear of the snatched bodies lead her to believe she wouldn't be able to look after her son correctly and would be unable to do her duty as a parent and protect her child.
The additional explicit fear is that her son had been snatched, even though she hadn't seen it with her own eyes she had seen other snatched bodies and didn't want to see her son turn out the same way. This fear drove her to find him as fast as possible and run/hide from the snatchers. As the clip from above shows, she finally gets her son back and embraces him, you can see the fear on her face disappear as she realises he hasn't been snatched

Implicit & Explicit fears from "Invasion of The Body Snatchers" (original)
An "Implicit Fear" is a fear of something that cannot be seen/felt etc. An example of this would be a fear of something following you when you can't see it, like the feeling someone is watching you.
An "Explicit Fear" is a fear of something that can be seen/felt etc. Such as a fear of spiders or clowns. Something that is real and can be proven.
In the original Invasion film there are both Implicit and Explicit fears in play.
The implicit fears are as follows:
the "body-snatchers" are, at first, not seen, only experienced, the main characters spent a large section of the film seeing people before and after the snatching, never during. (could not find clip)
"Becoming one of them" was a major implicit fear, they had no idea how it would feel, what would happen to the individual they knew one another as and how they would 'live' as a snatched body. They had no information or data to describe what would happen and lived in fear of the result. (could not find clip)
The explicit fears are as follows:
The fear of "The Pods", the pods were what held the copied bodies of the people who were about to be snatched, the post-snatched people would almost suffocate the protagonists with "the pods" and poorly reassure them that "it will all be fine" A fear of the strange pods was quickly formed.

The fear of the post-snatched bodies, any encounter with a post-snatched person would result in a fearful reaction from the people who had not been snatched.
